Holiday Haiku
by Allen McGill (bio after poetry)
frosty winds~
wafts of steaming
cinnamon coffee
winter chill~
hands clutched tightly
'round a coffee mug
lips and nose
tipped with latte foam
specks of chocolate
coffee al fresco~
a hummer over my shoulder
then gone
steamed windows
the smell of brewing coffee
everywhere
luscious aroma~
the raucous sound
coffee grinding
in a glass, a cup
or a massive macho mug
it's COFFEE
cappuchino, on the rocks
Turkish, French or demi-tasse
it's a coffee world
mocha madness~
on each and every corner
a coffee bar
energy and verve
stamina and vigor
the gifts of coffee
