"She's a nasty little witch, that's what she is," the indignant man tells the female manager of the popular coffee shop. "I just asked her a simple question and she says to me: 'Buzz off, creep!' in a really snotty way."
"I'm very sorry about that, sir," the manager says. "I
regret that this has happened. There's no excuse for that sort of behavior
from any of our employees. We do have an extremely high turnover and some
of our people have yet to learn how to behave properly when they're
dealing with the public."
The customer permits her to lead him to a seat out of hearing of the other patrons, and to order cafe lattes for the two of them.
"I'm sure I can get this straightened out to your satisfaction,"
the manager says. "This is really quite unfortunate and we'd like
to do our best to make amends. Now, how may I help you? What exactly was
it
that you asked her for?"
"I just asked her if she'd like to cook up some hot stuff in my place tonight."
The manager rises, smiles sweetly, leans across the table to him and says: "Buzz off, creep!"
