Starbucks has demoted Ethiopia in the coffee history scheme, promoting Africa to the forefront. I do believe that their site is the only one on the web that states, “The first coffee plants are said to have come from the Horn of Africa on the shores of the Red Sea.” WHAT?!? Isn’t it the other way around? Read their version of coffee history and learn how the past is often rewritten by politics.
